Big thanks to my newest follower, M Shook. I truly appreciate all y'all's readership. Now if I can just get Angie and Kimberly on the ball...
I don't have much news to report. I went to the library and checked out Catcher in the Rye and Sons & Lovers. So those are next up on the list. I know Ann will be ecstatic that I'm finally reading her "boy" J.D. After the library I walked around downtown Frederick a bit, enjoying the sunshine and lunched at Firestone's. I actually like going to restaurants by myself. It says, "Yo, I got no one to eat with, but I'm not letting that stop me from enjoying some good food." That shows confidence because 1. you're comfortable eating alone and 2. you like to eat and don't mind who knows it. I like a girl that likes to eat. And I like a guy who likes a girl for liking to eat (so thanks, Andrew, for enabling my sweet tooth).
When I returned home, I tried to figure out how to print bridal shower invitations on half-sized pieces of paper. I must say, I had it worked out perfectly (I'm kind of a computer whiz, nbd) except the stupid paper was messed up and the last line always got smudged. I know its the paper's fault and not mine because it prints perfectly on regular paper. So hopefully my mom can do it at work tomorrow.
I've been sort of slacking on my MOH duties (sorry, Em). Spring just sort of sprung up on me (haha) and now its happening so soon. But I thrive under pressure and always get my shit done on time. So today, I emailed the other bridesmaid about shoes, sent out an official bachelorette party email listing date and activity, worked up bridal shower invitations and best of all...finalized the "mystery" activity Emily and I will be participating in next week.
A couple months ago, I told her to block four days out from her schedule because we were going to do something. I didn't tell her what; I still haven't. So of course I can't talk about it too much here yet but I will once its over. Let's just say I am an awesome sister/ maid of honor. I will impart this much information however, and let's see if Emily guesses it.
- It is something she has never done before
- It involves a little bit of driving, but will be worth it (I think)
- It is not camping, hiking or bicycling across Iowa (though I should've thought of camping before cause that would've been cheaper)
- It is something we both have wanted to do
I know that's not a lot of info, but I really can't give away too much, because I'd really like to be the one to tell her what we're doing. So, Mike, if you slipped and told her, to quote the Olsen twins, "YOU ARE IN BIG TROUBLE, MISTER."
I can't wait to tell her what we're doing!
WHAT are we doing?? It's not going to be scary is it? Like how I always wanted to jump out of a plane...but not really...and then you made me do it!
ReplyDeletePS-Thanks for all your work!
ReplyDeleteI just want you to know that I was doing a great job of not letting Emily know that I even knew the secret. However, now that she knows that I know I don't know how long I can keep her from knowing. Know what I'm saying???
