Update

So after two posts on my last blog entry begging me to update (by the way, Andrew, I sincerely hope your comment was sarcastic) I am writing a quick update before a hugely busy half-week.  So, I started going this marketing thing for Uno's and though I'm not raking in money, it gets me out of serving during the weekdays usually, and I'm learning valuable job skills like networking and such.  Unfortunately, today, I have to drive all the way to Reston, VA, for a marketing meeting, so that's no good.  Then this weekend is my cousin Megan's wedding, which I am very excited for.  It should be a good time, even though my brother is a turd (who doesn't read my blog) and can't come.

In the past couple of weeks, I have been to NYC twice--the first time to visit Andrew, and coincidentally, go to an interview.  It seems that every time I plan to go to NY, someone calls me for an interview.  So I've been going a lot lately, lol!  The interview was at Macmillan, and I really really want the job, because its my dream job, but sadly, that was two weeks ago and I haven't heard an affirmative, so I'm probably filing it under my "Didn't get it, but will never hear back" label.  Then, last week, on my way home from New York, I received a phone call from McGraw-Hill (who previously were filed under that label also) asking me to come in for another interview last week.  So I scrambled to get up there, and I think it went very well.  I am cautiously optimistic.

Also in the past two weeks, I have finished Lolita and moved on to Animal Farm which I also finished.  Now I'm reading A Room With  A View.  I promise I will update the book reviews as soon as I get back from North Carolina.

I apologize that this is neither witty nor very interesting, but sometimes in life, you just gotta state the facts.  ; ) A bientot!

  1. I'm impressed you got a post in today! My comment was sarcastic. I've had the luxury of benefitting from your incredibly busy and exhausting three weeks. I'm too afraid of repercussions (you not visiting anymore) to completely ignore what will be over 50 hours on the road in a three week period.
