I know blogging is "the thing." I've heard that, in order to be successful these days, you need to be active in social media. I have a Facebook, that I use mainly as a substitute for the telephone (I hate the phone). One time, I made a Twitter--that lasted about the length of my lunch break at work. But I'm really going to try with this blog. I'm sure no one will read these words, but the point is to commit to something (something I'm not very good at) and try to become "social-media savvy." So here's to my first dedicated attempt. Now, after spending 20 minutes designing my blog, and dashing out this brief inaugural message, I need to take a break.
